How much do you charge? What can I expect to pay for your legal services?
Prosper Law is a fixed fee law firm. That means we do not charge you based on the time we spend on your matter (which can add up really fast!).
We will provide you with a fixed fee quote up front and this is the amount you will be charged for our legal services, regardless of how long we spend on your matter.
Is the initial legal consultation free?
Yes! We provide a free 15-minute initial consultation so that we can get to know you, you can get to know us and make sure we are the right fit for you. We will also listen to you about your legal matter and ask some basic questions.
We will provide you with an outline of how we can help you and solve your legal problem.
All of this is free and you are not obligated to engage us to provide you with legal advice.

We are a fixed fee law firm – which is great news for clients looking to have certainty regarding their legal expenses.

When do I have to pay for legal services?
When you have to pay for your legal services depends on the type and complexity of your legal matter and the time it will take for us to complete our legal services.
For example, if your matter requires us to provide you with a one-off contract, we may bill you once or in stages (depending on our agreement). If we bill you in two stages, the first invoice will be issued when we are 50% of the way through your matter, and then we will issue an invoice for the remaining 50% once our legal services are complete.
Alternatively, if your matter involves ongoing or complex or international legal advice, we may request payment in milestones as our work progresses.
If we incur disbursements and costs on your behalf, we will add this cost (once agreed with you) to your bill.
Generally, our payment terms are strictly 7 days (unless otherwise agreed).
How many lawyers will work on my matter?
We have a team of business lawyers. Your legal matter will be allocated a primary lawyer.
However, we work as a cohesive legal team. This means that you will receive the combined efforts of our lawyers to deliver you legal products and services that have been through multiple gates of quality assurance.
My business operates internationally. Are you able to assist international businesses?
Yes! Our commercial lawyers work with international businesses. We have extensive experience providing legal advice to businesses that operate internationally.
